Based on the result of the credit assessment, an individual training path can be developed. This can affect both the training time and the training fee to be paid.

The total number of hours of the Film Makeup Artist training is 500 contact hours, meaning 83 sessions. The training fee for the full training path is HUF 2,800,000. The training takes place within the Budapest Makeup School's professional system, in a small-group, practice-oriented educational format.

Makeup artist and lash technician fundamentals

The professional foundation of a film makeup artist is solid makeup artist knowledge. The training therefore includes the full material of the Makeup Artist and Lash Technician course in 5 modules. This provides the technical and aesthetic foundation on which HD makeup, character creation, SFX and production makeup are later built. The student learns the basics of skin, face shape, colours, materials, tools and makeup technique solutions. Without these, film makeup would also be uncertain.

HD makeup and on-camera makeup

The camera sees differently than the human eye. HD makeup requires a precise, clean and disciplined technique. During the training you will learn how makeup works in television, film, photography and commercial environments. You will understand how light, camera, close-up, skin texture and foundation interact. One of the most important parts of HD makeup is restraint and precision.

If the appropriate conditions are met, an IUM-certified diploma can also be linked to the training. Due to the Budapest Makeup School's IUM approved school status, this is an opportunity with an international professional background. Graduating students may also receive an IUM membership recommendation based on professional performance.
