School Rules and Code of Conduct

This is a courtesy English translation. The Hungarian version is the legally binding text; in case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails.

The School Rules of Budapest Makeup School are binding on every student and instructor. Their purpose is to ensure a safe, cultured and professionally appropriate environment for learning and teaching.

1. General rules

  • 1.1. Participation in the training is voluntary; by enrolling, the student accepts these School Rules.
  • 1.2. Regular attendance at classes is a prerequisite for successful exam preparation.
  • 1.3. Absences must be justified; in the case of prolonged or frequent absence, exclusion from the training may occur under the adult education contract.

2. Appearance and grooming

  • 2.1. Students must attend school classes well-groomed and tidy, keep their surroundings clean, and dispose of waste only in the appropriate bins within the school premises and within a 5-metre radius of it.
  • 2.2. During practical sessions (makeup, prosthetics), students must observe the required hygiene and health standards.
  • 2.3. Expected attire at school: neat, clean clothing suitable for professional work.

3. Class schedule and conduct

  • 3.1. Classes begin and end according to the published timetable.
  • 3.2. Students must arrive on time and must not disrupt the course of training by being late.
  • 3.3. All students must follow the instructor's directions in the interest of safety and professional standards.

4. Alcohol, drugs and other intoxicating substances

  • 4.1. Consuming, bringing in, or distributing alcohol, drugs or any intoxicating substance is prohibited on the school premises.
  • 4.2. A student who appears intoxicated or under the influence will be excluded from the training with immediate effect.
  • 4.3. Smoking is not permitted.

5. Use of equipment and liability

  • 5.1. Students must use the tools and materials provided by the school for their intended purpose, keep them clean, and return them cleaned to their place after use.
  • 5.2. Use of one's own tools and materials is permitted, but the institution assumes no liability for any damage arising from them.
  • 5.3. Damage to the school's equipment will result in disciplinary proceedings and a financial liability for compensation.

6. Behavioural expectations

  • 6.1. Cultured, respectful behaviour is expected from every student and instructor on the school premises.
  • 6.2. Foul language, physical or psychological abuse of another person, or any form of harassment is strictly prohibited.
  • 6.3. During training, students must be mindful of their peers' learning process; disrupting classes is prohibited.

7. Closing provisions

  • 7.1. These School Rules are publicly available to every student.
  • 7.2. In the event of a breach of these rules, the institution is entitled to issue a verbal or written warning or, in more serious cases, to initiate disciplinary proceedings, which may also result in exclusion from the training.
  • 7.3. These School Rules are valid from the date of enrolment until completion of studies.
